Multitasking

Multitasking has become recently a very popular term and a really useful skill in all aspects of life. We have been enchanted by the opportunities which we have thanks to multitasking. Doing a few things in the same moment, as learning, listening to music or some podcast and staying tuned to all the news around the world – it seems to be a very good idea to increase our abilities and our knowledge.

But is it really good for us?
In the article written by Cynthia Kubu and Andre Machado for TIME, we can find some interesting information. First of all, they say that most of us are simply unable to multitask (only 2.5% of people can multitask effectively). For the rest it is just an illusion of doing things at the same time, when in reality we do individual actions in rapid succession.

To resume a little this article, I want to present you some points of negative impacts on us:

1) Attentiveness. Due to doing two hard tasks at the time, we become less attentive for two of them which result by inability to recreate the information that we just have learnt.

2) Learning. Attention is the most important quality during learning. Besides losing our ability to focus on learning, we don’t go deeper in process of learning, so we receive only superficial knowledge of whatever we have learnt.

That only a few examples of negatives influences of multitasking on our life. I encourage you to check more information about this topic.

Ekow Nimako

Ekow Nimako is a Ghanian-Canadian artist, born in 1979. He works and lives in Toronto, where he has started to use Lego bricks since 2013 as his material to art works . Besides using lego, what is exceptional is that he use only one color - black. But as we can observe in  following material, he is not limited by black color, he rest open-minded to ideas and inspirations. In addition, what he want to express in his art, it is the topic of race and strangeness. His the most popular work is the one named "Silent Knight" which aroused interest of visitors during "Nuit Blache" (equivalent to the Night of Museums).

Welcome!

Hello everyone after a little break!

Since we have a new fellow bloggers in our English project, I decided to briefly introduce myself.
My name is Marta, recently I celebrated my 22th birthday. I study French language. I have learning French since high school, but I had started to love it much earlier. The reasons why I like this language are pretty obvious – as majority of people I really adore French accent, culture and the last but not least – I love Paris, thanks to its architecture and this special magic which surrounds this city (even if I know that it’s all a little bit exaggerated).

If it comes to my interest and hobbies, you will see. My blog is about everything, so mostly about what I listen to, watch or do. I hope that you’ll enjoy it. And I wish you luck and a lot of ideas for your posts!
